Magnolia Downunder challenge #43 and Magnolia Stamplovers challenge

Hi everyone
I just got some brand new stamps, Yay! I was lucky enough to
get most of the spring kit from Kellie, so ofcourse I had to ink
them up right away. These stamps are so cute and will
hopefuly take the edge off waiting for the new pre-order
stamps to arrive, lol.
I had lots of fun with the masking challenge last week, so
I decided to have another go at masking for this card.

This week at Magnolia Downunder the challenge is "CHARMS"
Magnolia Stamp Lovers the challenge is "CREATE A SCENE"

This is the card that I have created, hot off the craft desk :oD

I have added 2 charms, as I wanted Tilda to wear the tiara one.

The castle, cloud, trees and grass are from a stampin up fairytale
set that I was fortunate to pick up on ebay a little while ago.
I'm not sure what the set is called, but it was made in 1996.

Magnolia Stamps        Tilda with an apple, Robin Hood Edwin ( I think?)

Embellishments          Princess and Tiara charms, roses, leaves, ribbon

MDUC #42, All That Scraps

Hello everyone, This week at Magnolia Downunder
challenges we have been asked to create a card
(or other item) that includes "MASKING", so the
idea is to create an image using 2 or more stamps,
overlapping each other, to appear as one image.

I am also entering this one for All That Scraps
weekly wednesday challenge ( this is the first time
I have entered this challenge), which is "SEWING
ON YOUR PROJECT".

I wanted to have a go at making a card that I saw in
the latest Magnolia Ink magazine (issue 3). There is
an azing card, created by "Tab", entitled
'Early Summer card' it is on page 63.

I have created 3 images in this card, each one has been
masked. I have used 11 stamps, 7 of them are magnolias.

This is the front of the card...

...close up for detail...

...Opened out...

I have left space to write a message here

I added tags to the little side pockets, which can be removed.
these pockets are also ideally sized to slip in a gift card or cash.

I had alot of fun making this card and I hope you all
like it too :oD

Oh and I'd like to say congratulations to Debra James and
Kellie Winnell, for having your creations published in the
latest issue of Magnolia Ink. Debra, I think your canvas
should have won 1st place :oD

Stamps         Tilda as the shepherd, Sweet Tilda, Jam Tilda, Tilda
with flowers,  60's Tilda, Dot muffin, shabby chic fence
The stamps on the tags were from an old (1996) stampin' up
fairytale set.

crystal brads, staples, sewing.

MDUC challenge #41 - second entry and Cupcake craft challenge 86

Hello again :oD
I have really enjoyed this "Olden Days" challenge
over at Magnolia Downunder, so I decided to make
another card. I really wanted to have a go at making
my image appear more like a photo, so I added a
cream coloured background to ithe image and kind of
distressed the edges (my first attemp lol) and I think I
managed to make it look kinda like an old photo.

I am also entering this into Cupcake Craft challenges
this week for "Childhood memories".

I spent a large part of my childhood, growing up in Kalgoorlie
(a country town in Western Australia), and I always remember
waiting and waiting for what seemed like forever for the
annual agricultural fair. I wanted to capture some of its spirit
in this card, which is what influenced my choice in papers.

Stamps         Tilda with balloons, Tilda as a shepherd
Colouring tools         2B, 4B, 6B, 8B Derwent pencils
Embelishments          Flowers, fillers, vintage look images.

Thanks for stopping by
Please feel free to leave a comment, I really do appreciate
your thoughts. Have a great day :oD
Happy stamping everyone

Magnolia Downunder Challenge #41

Hello everyone.
This week at 'MDUC' the challenge is 'Olden Days'.
We need to colour the image in black, white, greys
and add vintage papers and whatever else we like,
to  remind us of days gone by...

I must admit. I was a little freaked out at first about
this challenge, as I don't have any grey markers and
didn't know how I was going to colour it. Silly me LOL,
I used to draw, for hours on end and I have an endless
supply of graphite pencils in every shade. I stopped
drawing when I had my first child 5 years ago (I just
never had the time and the passion just wasn't there
anymore), but these were my favourite art medium :oD

Anyway, I dug around my scrap pile and produced a card
that I'm pretty happy with. I think I really like this new
style. Here is my card...

The 'Post card' paper was amongst a my very first paper
stack pack that I had ever brought a few years ago, I can't
believe that I had never used it before lol.  I had a paper
that had a couple of frames printed on it, so I used one of
them to frame the picture, to give a the effect of a photo.
The Memories sentiment came from "Definitions and word
ephemera" by 'Paper Pizazz'. I thought these complimented
this style of card.

Stamp     Tilda with Bee, Summer/fence background
Colouring tools      2B, 4B, 6B Derwent pencils
Embellishments      Flowers from Bizzy Becs and Ebay, leaves from
Tickled Pink Stamps, pearl string, ribbon,  flower charm.

Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment,
I really do appreciate your thoughts :oD
Happy Stamping everyone.

Hello everyone, this week at Magnolia Downunder  the theme is
"Thankyou". I have made a giftbag to suit the theme...

in making this bag...the border of the images, the sentiment
and the handle. Hope you like it :oD
This is the front of the bag...

...and the back of the bag.

from the side...

...and detail, I added this cute little fairy charm that I found
at my local scrap store.

This Irish Blessing seemed like the perfect finishing touch, it
was from a paper called "Flutterby-painted lady", this paper
also had the heart used on the front of the bag, behind Tilda.

Papers          Far east Paper stack and Flutterby-painted lady.
Stampin up Cardstock - Rose Red
